Check out this tutorial I wrote some time ago for a detailed overview. The downside about the old version is that you cannot apply modifications and play around with shaders directly into the game you’ll need to modify the text files and change each value from 0 to 1. Depending on the kind of effects you want to use and, again, how much your computer can handle between the texture packs and graphic enhancement, you can start testing the waters by installing ReShade 2. ReShade EnhancementĪC1 supports the ReShade graphic mod and works wonders with the latest injector. Note: I ran both mods on a Win 7 machine with 16GB of RAM and a GTX 970, both work smoothly and with no frame dropping. Altair’s outfit also presents a better fabric and the floor tiles in Abstergo have become noticeably reflective. This mod adds a high quality detail to the far mountains and LOD, generally clouded by a thick white fog in the distance. One thing you can notice as soon as you access Altair’s memories in Masyaf, is the outstanding scenery in front of you upon entering the training field. The goal of this mod is to change most textures from original ACI to those from Assassin’s Creed Revelations, so you will feel like you’re playing Altair memories in Revelations rather than in old ACI from 2007. I tested it out with Texmod and the packages load without troubles. The author suggested to use OpenTexmod instead for the latest update, but the program seems to have a lot of issues for many users, included myself. The second mod is a bit more intensive and it can be installed through Texmod as well. The first difference I could spot right away was on the white tiles in the Animus room, which appear flat, with way less detail and no specularity at all in the vanilla game. A black screen may appear as soon as you start the game via Texmod, but it should then proceed as normal and display a certain improvement on most textures. The mod may take a few moments to load depending on your system and its speed. tpf file is loaded under “ Package Mode“. You can launch the game directly through it by clicking on the folder button under “ Target Application” (pick the DX9 version, it doesn’t work with DX10), your modded textures will appear in the game only when the. Also, all of these armors are craftable in the forge unless otherwise denoted. The archive includes the textures pack and a little standalone program called Texmod. If you’re interested in downloading these mods from Steam one by one, here are the links and how to get the armors – some of the naming differs from in-game and the download file, so make sure you read the description below to see what name to look for in the console. :D **Updated file 17 June 2016 with 6 new armors**ĭownload the Assassin’s Kit (all the mods featured in this post in one. This download link is just to make it easier to download everything in one place without Steam. These mods were NOT created or ported by me – all credit goes to 레커 and the other creators. So, for all you non-Steam people out there, I decided to create a single compilation “Assassin’s Kit” of all the mods in this post for you to download without Steam. *The original mod creator asked me to take down the compilation – now you have to get them from Steam, or ask me to send you the file in comments :)* The original mod creator has since posted that he doesn’t care if people reupload his mods, woo! Anyway, I decided to try them all on and take some screenshots for you … the individual mods are all linked in the post but sadly, they’re only available on Steam. Recently, 레커 (Lae Keo, I think is how you say it?) on Steam has been porting over tons of new armors from the AC series (and Dishonored and Battlefield as well!). I’ve always loved the aesthetic of Assassin’s Creed, so naturally their outfits are among some of my favorite mods for Skyrim.
